surprise surprise re: all innocent. It does seem rare for people to commit crimes to also hold themselves accountable.

I think there are two problems with the legal system (only two?) but I don't know how they could be fixed.

1) Guilt or innocence should not be dependent on the skill of the attorneys. A guilty person should be found guilty with the best of the best legal minds and an innocent person should be found innocent regardless of how inept his defender is.

2) Since guilt is a decision by a court, OJ was not guilty (criminally) yet I believe he murdered Nicole. Do we have a word which means committed the act but found not guilty? The problem (IMHO) is that someone can be found not guilty because of come other unrelated circumstance (illegal search for example) even though they committed the act.

Fix those and I would have more respect for lawyers.
