"We think we're tapping them, and we're slamming them and the cars are skidding to a stop. Companies next to another rare doing the same thing."

Anyone want to try to explain that last sentence? Does he mean "rarely do the same thing."? If so, I don't think he has ever seen a multicar collision. It's my experience that most cars do exactly the same thing. And let's add to that a good ammount of fog reducing visibility. If you can't see 100 feet in front of you, than everything always looks great until impact. Perhaps he can drive through or around the accident. Or maybe maybe he's driving Herby they flying VW Beetle. Or maybe I don't understand what he is trying to say. Time will tell.

And P.S. Why doesn't he just say "bazillions"? I mean hundreds of billions, and CSCO lost money this past Q?

Kriens on Tuesday said service providers as a whole are still spending several hundred billions of dollars in equipment to speed the Internet. The market, however, is big enough for some networking companies to succeed, he said.
