"Let the bad times roll"

Couldn't resist sharing this article from Economist, dated April 5th. Of course it was available on-line and in print around March 29th. Point is this just may have been THE BOTTOM, looking back, this was the exact time one should have been going long, loading the boat, cash advancing the credit card, maxing the margin, etc.

Classic example of using FUD to sell paper.

I'm convinced there are some institutions making a fortune playing this whipsaw market. They'll use commentators and/or analysts tp pump it up and then use them to push it back down.

I may not make the right moves everytime, buying when I should sell and selling when I should buy, but this has been (and will be) one hell of an experience. To live through these times.

Upshot is WE SHOULD BUY when there FUD, and WE SHOULD SELL when the press is bullish, when The Economist has a bull on it's cover saying, "Recovery?" Sell when a Paine Webber analyst says QCOM's new target is 800...

Like Winston Churchill said, "Play for more than you can afford to lose, and you will learn the game." <g>
