John, NAZ 100 are overvalued even with gasoline prices at $2. People will start to realize that technology is as cyclical as the automotive industry.

When the earnings yield of a stock will be close to the yield of a 10 year commercial mortgage then would be time to buy. that is an P/E of 15 to 18.

I agree that pc business & need for new systems & software is a luxury
that consumers will forego when they feel pinched by energy and just worries
in general. If $3 gas hits, then there will be much more negative discussion
re: the impact on the economy in general, and consumers will reconsider
these purchases, especially upgrades. Heck I know a young fellow that has a
tailored version of Win95 that he says beats Win98 for most people.

(Unleaded fuel in Reykjavik is over 4 dollars per LITRE!)

Yeah, but isn't that offset by free geothermal steam piped into your house!!! ;=}
