ROTFLMAO! Great post!

Addi,
The Cisco thread sounds like a wake that won't ever end. MM will get his cisco for $3 when you get your beachfront property for ten grand. I am going to Starbucks to get some $3 decaf Cisco. Mike

Someone once said, "Never bet against a company with $17 Billion in cash". Seems like good advice.

i think a fairer analogy is wanting to pay $22 billion for a business selling for $150 billion which is losing money hand over fist and only has an annualized $17 billion in sales, with negative sales growth.

hmmm, i guess i feel $22 billion is quite generous.

Isn't that a part of the "bigger fool" theory. :^)

Too true.

True story. Three houses down the street. Beautiful house. Waterfont, indoor pools, landscaping, heated slate floors, blah blah blah... Went up for sale. Sold in 7 minutes. 200K... firesale price...

The couple had been on vacation in the tropics. They were attacked at night and he was killed. She wanted out of the house.

This is a terrible story, and should not be wished upon your worst enemy. But occasionally reality intrudes in some bad way... and someone got that house.

Food for thought.

John.

you can live on beachfront property...what can you do with a CSCO share when there is nobody alive left to convince that it can do something for you besides allow you to sell it to someone who you are able to convince?
