I think you don't have the high energy and labor costs and inflation factored into your model. These are the party poopers. Fundamentally, market was just too optimistic on the run up. Too soon too fast.

Agreed, no 1650 testing. That was the low of the year when stocks were priced for worst-case scenarios and shorting was at a climactic free-for-all height.

Maybe test 1850-1900 during the dog days of summer. If and when CSCO hits 15-16 again, its probable bottom. That's where I'd buy to hold until winter, though I probably wouldn't pick CSCO.

Right now we're testing 2150. I sold my SBC, LOR and NOVL at open at unaffected prices and now have cash to buy back before the weekend. Doubled my money on LOR from my buy 3 weeks ago. NOVL played twice for 30% each time. SBC small gain.

Hoping for a little irrational selling to get the week's bottom here, today, tomorrow, whenever. If I miss it I miss it but I'm going to try. But am holding onto 50% gains from the bottom so I can't complain.

Bruised from VZ and WCOM's falls. But VZ was a longterm hold (until Wireless IPO time) anyway and will come back.

WCOM is my designated dog now I guess. Might bail on it next rally probably breaking even. Just as you can't fight the Fed you can't fight the big boys keeping that stock down either. Value may remain locked-up for another month. I may not wait. Probably a great buy now though ironically.

Pisani says market holding up well after 50 point drops on Dow and Naz. May hit a neutral stretch again here. But again, hoping for a one more dip before the weekend.
