I should have said R&D, S&M, G&A (which are the three lines CSCO uses).

As to the just laying off workers, what do you bet that their salaries were booked to the restructuring provision, not to ongoing expense? So savings are already reflected in the numbers. You're the one with the MBA, you tell me?

How about putting down numbers for next Q's R&D, S&M and G&A lines? Otherwise your assertions are motherhood.

As to GM being affected by inventories, remember that climbing inventory levels helps GM, not hurts. Besides, where did you get your info that GM would improve? I thought inventory was addressed on the CC and answered to be constant in low 50%s (e.g. where it is).

Are you sure you aren't making up the conditions necessary for the outcome you desire?

What do you mean by "after their inventory woes are over?" Are you implying the inventory writeoff wasn't big enough?
