And don't forget, that's only legal during the (presumably) very brief periods where the wife is not pregnant. And also it's illegal if one (or both) is using contraception, or infertile, or just too old, since that wouldn't be to produce another baby... LOL, what a law.

I'm surprised that that law was actually successfully applied, so recently. Was it simply homophobia? Or was it a pretext for some other crime where a conviction wouldn't have been possible? If the former, and a majority of the jury were for conviction, that must have been an unpleasant atmosphere - and, I'd wager, quite hard to vote against...
