That's an ignorant statement. Even if India had 500 million in poverty and 250 million in lower class, that still leaves approximately 1/4 billion in middle and upper class.

It's absolute numbers that count, not relative.

India's share of GDP adjusted for PPP is growing faster than the US's that's for sure.

Perhaps you could explain why the Hi tech outsourcing companies in India are totally dependent on exporting their services.

Does the fact that Japanese automakers sell more outside than at home mean they are in any way less profitable or superior than US companies?

Does the fact that US companies continue to become more reliant on Indian high tech professionals mean that the US tech industry is dysfunctional?

I agree with you that India won't buy CSCO's products. More likely NT or LU since they are going straight to optical technology, which CSCO has royally f$cked up.
