taquito means "little taco", it's usually a rolled corn tortilla filled with any combination of beef lips, chicken arms, schwetty cheese balls, hot chile or spices, and then deep fried.

cinco de mayo is a mexican holiday marking the anniversary of the mexican battle (of independence) in which the mexicans were victorious over the french. the battle took place in puebla, mexico (south of mexico city) on may 5th, 1862. it is "unofficially" celebrated in most of the u.s. states that border mexico as an excuse to party and drink margaritas.
