Weak hands? No, I think in my case it is more like greedy hands. I have actually been increasing my gold miner holdings by trading in and out of the stuff. I just keep rolling profits over into more shares. I was actually able to double my DROOY shares and move close to break-even on it by playing the price swings. I feel much more secure in my DROOY position now (IE my hands have gotten stronger) then when I was just averaging down.

That is not to say my hands won't get slapped. I could miss out on 20% of a fast run if I get caught with cash on hand instead of shares. Also if I get caught with all shares during a big drop, I will be stuck unwilling to trade until the next big up run.

Time to go check on the action...
