How about this spin: Athlon4 sounds really good for the Laptop market. Especially since there will be no P4 laptops for a long while... -Andrew

Does anybody think Rocky IV or V were as good as the original? I don't. How about the way AMD's done it so far with names. Slot-A Athlons (Classic) were replaced with Socket-A Athlons (TBird). Notebook Palominos can just be called mobile Athlons, and desktop Palominos can be ... ... ... Sorry guys, that's where I lost my train of thought. Maybe Athlons with PowerNow (Palomino). Remember, for retail/OEM purposes, all it needs to say is Athlon for brand continuation. The mhz/ghz increases allow for increased value to buyer. Sometimes consumers are wary of something too new. For the DIY crowd, Pricewatch will most likely denote TBird vs. Palomino desktop chips. CB
