Thread: K-9 Dogs need your help. A worthy cause! If you have not heard, there is an effort underway to create a monument to honor the courage and self-sacrifice of K-9 dogs in times of war. (There are some who oppose this idea). Many soldiers owe their very lives to the valor of these dogs. A little-known shame of our nation is that when the Vietnam war ended, 4,000 K-9 dogs were left behind to their fates (which may well have included being eaten!), in the name of "economy." We are talking Lassie here! I bring this up because we know that there are many animal lovers on this thread (naturally, since this thread is composed of such quality people!).
