I suppose anything is possible. My crystal ball, to be quite blunt, sucks.

Regardless, I almost always invest intending to be in for the long haul. It doesn't always turn out that way (because I sometimes use OPM for leverage, and margin calls are a terrible thing to endure), and on rare occasions I will deliberately try something with a short fuse, but the only way I've ever made any real money was by hanging tough for the long run.
