That's pretty amazing, since ICGE stated that:

The combined cash position of its more "developed" companies was $218 million (excluding Rightworks) in the first quarter, vs. $325 million at the end of the previous quarter. The company also said the quarterly burn rate was $108 million, down from $135 million in the previous quarter.

and

ICGE had cash per share of $1.67 last quarter, and had an operating loss of $0.66 and a loss after writedown of $6.03 per share, before accounting changes.

per

marketwatch.com;

biz.yahoo.com

The numbers seem to suggest that ICGE runs out of cash in about 2 quarters. If they sell all the stock they have in public companies they could likely last another two or three quarters depending on the price that they can get.

Oh man.. do you remember the days where you would watch CNBC, wait for an analyst to say something positive- and POOF.. buy.. then sell and short.. Each frickn day it gets harder and harder to make money out there :)

Tom- at work this week we are DEAD.. I mean, its sorta weird.. 2 weeks ago it appeared things were picking up.. now its just crawling again.. Im so confused as to what approach to take going forward in this market because people want to return to the insanity, but at the same time I dont see any reason on this earth to start looking for long term buys except in conservative stuff such as ILA..

Im just taking it day by day with tight stops on my account.. I will be starting a position in AMD (and I swear to god, im drawing out a plan on this sucker and not stopping out after 2 days in panic like the other 103 times i tried to play it)..

For some reason, I have lost on every single trade I did with AMD.. so now I have a hard time playing it.. but I know more about AMD then most the analysts covering it, and the fact that its in the bullseye of this recession stinks, but its a dirt cheap stock..

Kumar was wrong about AMD.. He called it road kill, and something to the effect of 'what happens to intel happens 2 times harder to AMD'.. I respect Kumar more than any other analyst but I actually believe hes dead wrong about AMD. AMD just has to make sure they dont miss a step.. Intel is overpriced trash, period.. they actually stunt the growth..
