In a time when just owning stocks is enough to get most people lathered, I am thinking that it is dangerous to get cute with the miners because the one time that they do go for real even the believers will not believe it...pays to have some sort of exposure at all times IMO, some of the juniors are priced like options with no expiration. That aside, I agree that this could be just another failed rally, except one day the idiots buying tech might just decide to get on the $HUI train too, why not, if everyone else is doing it, and price action dictates fundamentals these days...
