"Your research is flawed as the Hyksos were not the Hebrews. The Hyksos were a nomadic tribe that had conquered the Lower Delta in Egypt hundreds of years before Joseph had ever come on the scene."

Surely, you don't expect me to critique every single link I post. One could spend a lifetime on a single article.

He does say the case is uncertain, although admittedly, he is clearly trying to stretch the parallels unnecessarily to advance his thesis.

As far as your assertion goes: It is by no means a fact. History is mostly guesswork, and the exercise of imagination. Here, for instance, is an author who claims they were the lost tribe of Israel from the Zarah Branch of Judah

More on that here:

The encyclopedia Brit. ( britannica.com )

states: "Josephus wished to demonstrate the great antiquity of the Jews and thus identified the Hyksos with the Hebrews of the Old Testament. This view is not now supported by most scholars, though it is possible that Hebrews came into Egypt during the Hyksos period or that some Hyksos were the ancestors of some Hebrews...most of the Hyksos names seem to have been Semitic"

To confine your view of history to biblical scripture is possibly to limit the understanding. We know that the scriptures are unreliable because of their many contradictions. Still, you might be interested in these links to explore.

Here is a link that believes Joseph appeared before a Hyksos King:

returntoglory.org

"In a word, it appears that the biblical, historical, and archaeological data are best served by theorizing that it was a Hyksos monarch before whom Joseph stood as an interpreter of dreams (Gen. 41:14-37) and who later ceded a choice parcel of land (Goshen) to Joseph's family (Gen. 47:6). According to such a theory, the "new king" of Exodus 1:8 would have been one of the native Egyptian monarchs of the New Kingdom who, as part of his Hyksos purge, resolutely refused to recognize the validity of the Goshen land grant. Discerning in the Israelites a multitude who might very well join with his Asiatic enemies in war, this new king moreover acted quickly to enslave the Israelites."

But I certainly don't know. They all came from Noah, right??
