Thanks for the very clear explanation. On another related subject, I printed out for closer reading that long report from TMF thread that was subject of much discussion on Ciena Yahoo thread.

In particular I want to do some due diligence on the financial analysis (particularly on cash flow)he presented. I will post my thoughts.

One thing that makes all this interesting is there is no simple answers. For example, the high inventories bmg(?) talked about could be product and parts not moving. However, it can be finished product sitting at customers waiting for testing and sign off being done.

The former would indicate a slowing market, while the latter a company with robust growth and lots of demand. Puts a premium on thinking for oneself.
