Shoibal, It appears the Morgan Stanley call is having a significant positive impact on the semi-equips in pre-market trading. I saw AMAT up $3. Thanks for the heads-up.

Analyst Ed White at Lehman Bros. thinks the company is "well prepared" to get through the current industry downturn and take advantage of this industry climate. "While it is true that Applied tends to cut back [costs] later than its peers, the company has remained profitable in past down cycles," White said in a research note to clients."
