Elmer, RE: I know it's much more fun to bash Intel but sometimes things don't always have a sinister reason.

But it was Intel that made the scheduling screwup, so why didn't they assume the responsibility of ramping their own shift to 820, rather than placing other mobo manufacturers on allocation. As I recall, Intel had plenty of 440 chipsets for their own internal use.
