Intel is a lot smarter than AMD.

That's not my understanding. AFAIK, the KT133 has been completely replaced by the KT133A. In fact, many motherboard makers shipped KT133A based boards as KT133, because they are fully interchangeable - aside from the the KT133 not being qualified at 133MHz FSB speeds.
