I am speaking of people who have passed away leaving estates of those dimensions. I have seen their estates grow throughout their retirements.

there are a good many people that invest kids' college funds in the equity markets, and wisely so.

so you think investment in equities for a time horizon of, say, five to eighteen years is wise? but the following makes it sound like you think it is not wise:


There is no way in heck that the time horizon of those funds is 30 years much less never need this capital, unless you want you kids to have pretty significant work experience prior to entering undergrad.


i personally like the idea of some of these state-sponsored funds.
