No Chit

The only people who made money in options this week are the people who wrote them.

For the last few weeks I've just be trading the $SPX options. I maintain a hedged portfolio and adjust the ratio based on my expectations.

I trade the current month 3 to 6 strikes out of the money and move closer to in the money options as the months comes to an end. Now I am beginning to move into Junes.

It has been working out OK but it would have worked out much better if I hadn't adjusted the hedge ratio based on my expectations. <gg> This week so far hasn't helped either with the puts and calls closing red.

PPI tomorrow - When they buy bad PPI numbers I think it will be time to quit - although we know the data-mashers don't know how to calculate bad PPI or CPI numbers.

Try as the might the XAU managed to close green again today. Maybe there is hope.
