I would not like at all funding the news with license payments as it would remind me of the tax on tea way back when <big grin>, but in Japan the people are obligated to pay for NHK, which is their version of public broadcasting but it's much more interesting than PBS here in the States as far as range and the variety of programming goes.... We pay for NHK here via Japan TV's satellite service so we can watch the sumo tournaments and the music shows which I like a lot. Just heard Nigel Roberts on the tube here this evening, and have seen just a small amount of CNBC-Hong Kong, but found it to be pretty good also.
