I'm not making fun of folks that use anything to be successful trading -- I just think there might be better frameworks for making educated guesses than Elliot wave analysis.

Only thing that has kept me from pursuing other ideas is my own laziness ... I think when one can trade with a good system and have fundamentals on your side ... it's cool. If I were wealthy enough to not have to work at a regular job ...

Who knows -- I may jsut get over being lazy anyway ...

To be serious for a moment, I actually am delighted that so large a percentage of the market's participants are chartists (When most are following a particular strategy or approach, it is usually the wrong thing to be doing). (g)
Additionally, while I think charts are little more than an extension of "trend following" (and "trends continue until they don't"), I still pay attention to them, as the huge number of folks who believe in them can drive stocks rather wickedly for periods of time.
