The Baker-led attack on the credibility of any individual charged with carrying out existing Florida law, even under time pressure, along with politicizing the courts, while having a short term goal of securing the Presidency for Bush, will have long term adverse consequences on the political discourse of the nation. The idea that no one can be objective has already caused increased rancor in DC, not "bipatisanship." Both sides for their own reasons may feel this is good and right, but I doubt many of us will be happy with the outcomes.
