If that's the case, why not have siestas in the afternoon till early evening (one can pretend he's/she's in Cuba). The ambitious can go to work at 5:30am, and finish up by 2:30 pm (you can pretend you're in NYC).

I think they still close in Europe.
But they have a different outlook on the work week and vacations. Doctors actually tell people to go on Holiday for their health.
I am stating that if we would create perameters and time limits to save energy, we could kill a few birds with one stone.
Closing the businesses at 5 p.m. on a Saturday and not opening up until Monday at 9 a.m. creates automatic days off for people to spend time at the home they spent all week working to pay for.
It also would reduce the amount of tension created in family's when you have 2 working parents or a 1 parent family.
It would force the shoppers of America to make a decision sooner. Buy now !
And would force the companies/employee's into higher productivity on a per hour basis.
Time limits help the economy.
JMHO
