Yeah bobcor, I saw that over at amgdata.com. $2 billion won't even cover the fees. Last week was really an orgy. I still see lots of cash in the Rydex MM fund though. It may not find its way out but I know that there is fuel if the mufu crowd wished to deploy it.

<<Nowhere to go but down...>>

Bobcor!!! How could ya say this? If I had a penny for every definitive statement made like this (up or down), then we'd be having a currency crisis here in the States and I'd need to move the Freeps to a much bigger abode.

Seriously, there are lots of reasons for the market to dip/rest/decline here. But those reasons don't make it so. Fed's pumping liquidity and has cut rates a bunch, with one more Tuesday. That's definitely good for the markets, even if we do sell off on the news. There will be a bottom to this tech slowdown, and whether or not growth returns, you KNOW that stocks will be run up when a few big boys say they see that turn. Rational or not, I might add, as PEs will still be inflated. That could happen at any point of any day, so there's no way I can agree that there's nowhere to go but down.

Anyway, none of the above is stuff you don't know, but I think you just guaranteed a huge gap open :-)

When one is a market maker or a stock promoter ... the story plays out like this:

Hey Joe, there is great news, want to buy 1000 at $ 5, and he does
Hey Joe, there is great news, want to buy another 1000 on margin at $ 10, and he does
Hey Joe, there is great news, want to buy another 1000 on margin at $ 15, and he does
Hey Joe, there is great news, want to buy another 1000 on margin at $ 20, and he does

Now rich Joe asks, "Is there any more news coming"?
The answer is no. "Well, then sell my 4000 shares".

Sell???? ...... Sell to who? There is no market.

Conclusion, The stock ends up at $ 0.50

The above story has been played out for countless times in real life scenerios. Why?... for human nature is a constant when it comes to greed and panic, as well as, love and hate. The four extremes.
