Good thinking. I agree.

You know it's funny. One of my fav rules for being a contrarian is: History in the market only repeats itself after all but a few have forgotten it.

Back in 1973 when gold was just starting to move in a major I can clearly remember how anti-gold W.S. was. It was just amazing. They kept trying to scare serious investors away from it by saying it was "speculative" and then continuing to talk about it in derogatory terms on WSW, in the Journel, Barrons, etc.

Didn't have much money then. But bought a pile of old Double Eagles for myself and my parents and watched it go to the Moon for the rest of the 70s. Not looking for anything quite that good in %age terms this time. But a heck of a good cyclical run is in the cards IMHO.

And as far as W.S. being negative on gold? All these years later, I've learned that tactic simply reveals their in house trading depts aren't yet fully positioned on the long side.(g)

Guess if we had to say one thing to the average investor about the emerging stagflation? This fav of mine from The Matrix would put it in a nut shell.

"Fasten you seatbelt Dorothy. Cause Kansas...is goin' bye bye"!!

Best regards,
