Over the past couple of weeks, DELL's volatility has been much lower than normal, not higher.

You might be looking at the closing prices...I was referring to the big percentage moves during the day over that same period of time.

GV, Would you not expect some analyst to make a name for himself just ahead of the earnings to make a name for himself.
We are all aware that Dell weathered the weakness the best. With an upgrade cycle (Microsoft) and a replacement cycle as Michael has suggested, many of those nutty analysts will jump the gun.
If Niles was still a PC analyst, I would expect an upgrade from him...I am not sure but he may just be just covering semiconductors at his new firm..Lehman. Maybe some can confirm this..thanks.
