The law that gave Mrs. Jones standing in court was passed by the democrat Congress (with republican help) and signed into law by Mr. Clinton. It is a stupid and destructive law. (Some day I've got to dig up the remarks he made at the signing ceremony. They've got to be rich). I admit, and I am not proud, that I get a perverse pleasure watching a politician getting hoist on his own petard.

In all of the 1.7 trillion words I read during the Jones trial, I never heard anyone suggest that the law be repealed. I heard people palaver about right wing conspiracies. About passing more laws exempting the President from being subject to certain laws (to hell with the equal protection clause). But never a criticism of the law. Wagging your bent weenie in front of an employee is boorish in the extreme and indicates a mental imbalance but do we gain more or lose more by making a Federal case out of it?

We are approaching anarchy in the most ironic fashion possible - by burying the country neck deep in laws. We are sliding away from a rule of law into a tyranny of laws. We've got to rein in the do-gooder tendency that every personal tragedy, all self destructive behavior, every injustice, is best addressed with a new law.

We've got to start getting serious about this, soon.

Dear Scumbria: I too dont care about their Sex life so long as they are honest about it. When anyone such as myself is sworn in under oath, we are expected to tell the truth. Failure to do so IMHO is a reflection on Character. Sex is akin to Morality not Character. I could go on but you get the point.
Now, as to yourself, if I were you I would scan back over your last several hundred posts and try and describe to yourself what you are attempting to accomplish. So far I have seen nothing but outrageous statements related almost solely to President Bush. Seems to me you prefer to tear down our country not build it, but then, you are probably a Democrat and I notice even the Democrat leaders seem to be of that ilk so how can I expect more from you. I just thought being a fellow 4wd owner you might be different. JDN

Scumbria, do you think it's relevant when determining a Presidents character whether they are a rapist or not?

Futher, do you believe Bill Clinton raped Juannita Broadrick? And if not, why do you think a life-long Democrat would lie about such a thing?
