Tip: Man, I hope you are more accurate, but the U.S. consumer is in much worse shape than last time, and U.S. corporations are a disaster by comparison (in the late twenties, U.S. corporations "saw it coming" and sold the public tons of stock and moved into the depression loaded with cash. Just the opposite today.) Look how quickly and brutally the downswing has erupted...... and notice that very few saw it coming. So far, I can see nothing on the horizon that appears able to blunt the Tsunamai. If the lay-offs began to abate, things might not fall right off the cliff, but so far, no sign of this occurring.
