Hi Gary,
As all along I have believed we could avoid a recession, the ECRI indicator has concerned me. How the economy behaves the remainder of this month will be critical. I can't say we are slipping in commercial industrial activity but neither are we gaining any momentum. It is probably going to be a close call for most of the year. As of yet the dollar isn't helping. I don't think the GDP will be helped by exports this quarter.

As far as I can see, as long as it is below -2%, Feds should be reducing interest rates REGARDLESS of direction. Thus far they have been doing that, albeit (Gad, I love that word) 6 months late...
