The following stocks either failed to get above the 50 day EMA or failed to stay above the 50 day EMA except for MSFT. For MSFT the moving average 50, 100, and 200 have converged suggesting a potential new term break out of the range to a higher level. X-Box hype might do it. Option expiration targets: CSCO 17 1/2 to 20 INTC 25 to 30 MSFT 65 JNPR 60 JDSU 20 to 25

The strong retail sales figures are not the result of a stregthening economy and the bond market's reaction will prove wrong. Free money is being generated by home refinancings made possible by low interest rates. How low? Low enough that the 30 year mortgage has actually gone up from demand despite lower Fed funds. Instead of paying down principles' on mortgages and credit, its being used to spend on all the nonsense our mindless society finds so essential. The debt chicken will come home to roost and lay an even bigger egg.
