PM can change partition sizes -- both ways. In fact, it's this ability that makes it such a compelling product. Few select partition sizes correctly on the first guess. Cheers, PW.

Sepku, trying to do this on the cheap. "things are though all over" There is a freeware program called Partition Resizer that qualifies well under the "cheap" category. It owes it's existence to the fact the many don't want to shell out $ for a program they anticipate using just a time or two in the life of their hard drive. However, I suspect those who have Partition Magic find it useful far more often than originally anticipated. Partition Resizer is a DOS program. From glancing at the text file manual, I could see that one must understand exactly what one is doing before resizing partitions using this program. It's not for casual users. You can obtain it here: members.nbci.com I just ordered Drive Image 4.0. In addition to the cloning abilities of this program, the description said: Resize on-the-fly - Automatically resize partitions to fit within a smaller or larger hard disk. So I thought I'd check this feature out before ordering Partition Magic. By now you probably have your partition issues worked out. Oh well, I'm usually scrambling to keep up with the latest posts on my favorite thread. Esteban
