I think that Compaq still sell as small number of Alpha Servers. Celera Genomics for example uses Alpha Servers to piece together the DNA fragments. They probably bought about 100 Alpha Servers last year.

Sure they're still selling but someone else is fabbing them for Compaq.

Brian - CPQ is getting Alphas from Samsung and from IBM - I understand IBM is doing the next generation Alphas. The numbers are small by Intel standards - I think it is something like 200,000 processors a year in total.
