I don't think any knowledge is wasted, so I won't attempt to discourage you from learning more about Larouche if that's what you want to do.

Ross Perot, Pat Buchanan, and Ralph Nader got a lot more votes than LaRouche when they ran for President, so if you are interested in third party candidates, you might want to take a look at them. I'm partial to the Libertarian Party, myself.
