Have you ever gone through a divorce proceeding in court?
I've never been divorced.

I would probably lie under the Clinton circumstances, but the way I view it is I am the one telling the truth, ie I'm telling you truthfully I would lie..
Well, I have to presume from that that you have reason to lie about your sex life. OTOH, I don't. While I would answer truthfully under oath, I do regard the information as personal and private.

And why would you answer the questions truthfully under oath.....
Because I haven't done anything I'm ashamed off of or can legally punished for?

what penalty would you have to fear for lying about your sex life?
Assuming I had reason to lie? Perjury, of course. Getting caught and going to jail. I've never been there, but I've heard they're not nice places and that event can seriously damage a career.

Somehow the fact that you would lie does not lead directly to the fact that everyone (or anyone) else would. We're talking a court of law here, perjury statutes apply and you are under oath. What penalty...?....perjury. If a judge allows a question what exactly is your choice....uh...judge....I don't want to answer that question truthfully...

I really don't get it. Nobody is saying they are better than anyone for telling the truth but simply that they would. Is it like Clinton said one day, "I don't like that law, I don't agree with it"

But I'm somewhat prepared for anarchy, though I'd prefer to follow the law if at all possible.
