It might be a little bit early to assume IDO has 20 million oz of Platinum/paladium. They haven't even hit one mineralized hole yet. From what I've heard, they should definitely hit the Platinum/paladium on one of the first three holes. Although I wouldn't get to excitted on the initial discovery, because it is almost a given that they will hit.

What will matter most is how long they can trace the zone. I'm really only expecting 2-3 million ounces to be discovered, and that appears to be priced into the stock. If they hit 10-15 million ounces, then the stock will be $10-20 a share, maybe higher.

Some exploration theory adapted from an article in the SEG Newsletter from April 1998:

(1) Exploration is not a science- the aim of exploration is to discover something by whatever means within a limited budget with or without understanding. Science seeks understanding. Beware the scientists!

(2) Facts are everything; forget the theories.

(3) Drill as soon as possible and as much as possible.

(4) Look for ore, not mineralization (to find an orebody you have to drill ore holes).

(5) Improve it or drop it.

(6) Do not be technology driven (don't fall in love with the newest geophysical etc method).

(7) It's the drill hole stupid! (sometimes more work and more data will NOT improve the situation).

And lastly a quote:

"the difference between successful and unsuccessful exploration companies is a dramatic difference in the amount of drilling they do"

Can you spot the errors made by MSK?
