When looking at the monthly chart, it is really similar to looking at an intraday or daily or weekly...just another time frame. The principles are IMO, the same though. Stocks, after a long and profitable run up need a period of rest before they can move higher. This resting occurs in the form of bull flags or sideways moves. Following posts will be chart URL and stock symbols for charts that I think have monthly charts that warrant looking into.
