In a PM to Pete Young last night, I made the following comment:

"...Further, as many of us know, if we increase the cost (eg union benefits,
high taxation) of doing business to a certain level, Mr Capitalist simply
moves offshore to where he can continue with his exploitations. We have
to bear in mind that a fair wage is one which the market is willing to pay
as opposed to what any one group (such as a union) might be demanding...."
