Itanium's horn. You quickly did a one line change to slinging mud at EV7 in response. Point taken. But my
reply to you and others regarding Itanium roll-out on
May 29th is: Where is the OS for it?

It isn't Linux. Linux is a beta product for IA64
It isn't Winxp2002.

IBM is forcing Intel's hand to allow them to roll a workstation. Perhaps AIX5L is ready for IA64 so IBM gets a jump on the rest, but a muted rollout at best... give everyone another 6 months.

This isn't the kind of splash Itanium needed but since it has slipped greatly it is indeed a development platform. A moniker Intel has long denied but can't any longer.
