I assume you mean NVLS and not NOVL since AMAT does not compete with them....yet:-)

NOVL is Novell and I believe your thinking of NVSL Novellus who is in AMAT business.

I don't know of any market share.

At any given time, one or another is gaining market share in some market segment and they brag about it. How much of $10B AMAT's share can $1.5B NVLS gain? Buy both, but ignore the CNBC garbage.
