I doubt that anyone who has a cable modem will disconnect. None of my friends will and if we were to move the availability of cable modem service would be a determining factor in where we would move.

Mindmeld wrote yesterday I disagree. The Internet is every bit as addictive as television is. Once you have it, you can't do without it. In addition, once you have it, you want faster speeds. You are still posting aren't you? Have you dropped your service? Why would anyone else drop theirs?

Your posts tend to support his theory that the 'Net is indeed addictive.

I read a while back that one who predicates his new address on the availability of broadband should be considered a true "geek".:)
