Looks to me like the fn.to release yesterday referred to shares bought yesterday, because stockwatch tradestation says Griffiths bought '1276000' at an average price of .58 for net loonies paid of '735820' ... the share number is identical to that in the release, but inexplicably the release is fifty loonies higher, '$735,870 before commission' ... even so, it would be a major coincidence if the release was referring to previous purchases, and not the most likely scenario imho ... here's the release -

'TORONTO, May 11 /CNW/ - Franco-Nevada Mining Corporation Limited (TSE:FN) has increased its interest in Metallica Resources Inc. by acquiring an additional 1,276,000 common shares to hold 3,455,852 common shares or 12.76% for $735,870 before commission. The transactions occurred through the facilities of The Toronto Stock Exchange. ... '

... posted at '4:51 pm Eastern Time', so they didn't have a lot of time to compose it, but everything is electronic these days, doesn't take long ... and fn are pros, they had exceeded the ten per cent and might as well get the required disclosure out before the weekend.
