Picking Chicago over Denver is about the dumbest corporate decision I have ever heard of.

Scumbria, its probably because Denver made a half hearted attempt....but yes, you are right. I have always thought Condit was generally a wuss, and his behavior the last couple of years has confirmed it.

Of the locations considered, Chicago is about 2 hours closer in flying time to Europe then the others. My guess is that factor was what determined the choice. Boeing's trying hard to avoid losing its remaining European customers, and this will locate their executives nearly 4 hours closer than they were in Seattle.
