Technically didn't we just have stagflation ie a quarter of higher inflation compared to economic growth. But I doubt that the return of Jimmy Carter stagflation is anywhere near. The reason is the availability of workers that will work for decreasing wages. Back when JC was prez,
everyone insisted on higher wages. Now the majority of people are just happy to have a job. As long as the pool of available workers remains in abundance, wage inflation will not be a problem.
