think for a minute what we old, worn-out has-beens MIGHT be able to accomplish if we just apply ourselves, set reasonable goals, be patient, and prepare ourselves for the future That's so true. Your post made me think of somethng I'd like to pass on. My wife and I barely made passing grades in high school. I was too busy playing and she was busy working to support her Mom. Neither of us superior "grey matter" if you know what I mean. But we have dedicated ourselves to creating an environment for our kids where learning is fun, exciting, and vital. We've forgone a lot of the luxuries in leau of a private education for them. Well, my 6 yr old in kindergarten is now reading at a 2nd grade level, can operate a computer,(I bot a new one, they got my old one) and is learning Spanish. My 5 yr old is even farther ahead at her age than the 6 yr old as at the same age. So what's the point? The point is the environment and state of mind makes all the difference in the world IMHO. That's why I like hangin out with the Bopster here. The dude is always lookin ahead with enthusiasm, learning, and encouraging others to do the same. That's what I want to do.
