Robert,
Guess there's always more than one way to see a chart. ggg

I found a couple of interesting posts on Steve's Channeling Thread, this one makes an interesting comment on the declining volume for the current comp pullback:

What caught my eye was the last sentence where the author views the declining volume in the opposite light to conventional wisdom. I love keeping an eye on the thoughts of the many posters on S.I. whose opinions I have learned to respect.
Best Regards,
Eichler

Looks like a double top on that VIX chart to me. Im playing it as a breakdown to the low 20's in time. As long as the comp declines on light volume am adding to positions.

Double top on the VIX? Are you referring to the early April top?

What is your rationale for adding on light volume while
Eichler seems to think it breaks down.

I remember seeing a lot of the decline in the Nasdaq happening on light volume in the past 8 months.
Something has be different this time to lead one to a bullish conclusion.
I feel there is a huge difference but am interested in what others have to say. My reasons don't have much to do with charts.

BTW--hard for me to see how conclusions can be drawn from the Vix unless it hits extreme levels. Last year the market was on the upswing while the Vix started dropping from about April to August. Vix started going up after that while the Naz started tanking.
