I've noticed prices in our farmers markets are close to supermarket prices. Better quality and these people being US citizens pay taxes on there really hard earned wages.

I buy expensive organic produce from Whole Foods and from farmer's markets.

Unfortunately, about 250 million other people in the US don't, and demand cheap food. That is why you have a million illegals picking vegetables and fruit in California.
